RiffCaster Guide: Post Songs Online Quickly and Easily

RiffCaster is a free song posting service integrated into RiffWorks.

First create your Musician Profile Page on RiffWorld.com using the same SonomaKey you used to register RiffWorks. If you do not do this first, your songs will not be assigned to you, they will be assigned to "Admin" and will not play.

1. Login to RiffWorld.com with the same SonomaKey you use for RiffWorks and the forums. Do not create more than one SonomaKey.
2. Click on My Profile.
3. Edit your Musician Profile (nice example of a profile here.)
   1. Upload an avatar (square).
   2. Upload a picture (of you or your guitar, etc).
   3. Enter your musical influences and the kind of gear you use. For best results: Enter influences and gear exactly as the artist/band/manufacturer/company spells and capitalizes them. Do not include dashes, asterix, or extra characters. Include a return after each one. This will ensure that your profile will be linked to other people's profiles with similar interests. This makes it easy to find people with similar interests.
   4. Now other users will be able to find you, the songs you post, and the collaborations you create.
4. Create a tune in RiffWorks, then click the RIFFCAST button to bring up the RiffCaster submission dialog.
5. Choose a Station to post your song, or choose to enter your song in a current RiffRumble song competition.
6. Songs are automatically posted to RiffWorld.com, including the Recent RiffCasts Page and your very own Musician Profile Page.
7. Your song will receive comments from the RiffWorks community and you are welcome to comment on others' songs.
8. Once your song has been posted, you can share your song’s URL with others.
9. There will be an OGG and an MP3 download link of your song under your songs player on RiffWorld.com.
10. Click your song's name on RiffWorld.com, get the "Embed Code" from that page and paste it into your web page or MySpace page for all to hear.
11. RiffWorks Version 2.2. and later users may also upload songs to RiffWorld.com using the form in their profile at RiffWorld.com.
